Sound Script and Shooting Script

 Opening Sequence Script

Scene 1

Derek: “I'll be there soon I know it. I remember it all. I remember it perfectly.”

Scene 2

Derek: Dear diary, its day 730, two years since this mess began. Is it getting to my head? No. Not at all.

I remember it like it was yesterday...

Scene 3

Derek: It was going to be the perfect day, the perfect birthday in fact. I planned everything the day prior. The cake, the suit. Nothing could go wrong. Scene 4

Derek: I then remembered a knock on my door

Derek: What's this?

Derek's Mom: It was your fathers watch, I want you to wear it tomorrow.

Derek: Sure thing

Scene 5

No dialogue

Scene 6

No dialogue

Scene 7

Derek: I wake up the next day and… the watch… the watch wasn’t there...

Derek: All there was was some sort of crystal, I reach in and grab it, and I woke up somewhere else. Someplace, some reality that looks similar to my own, yet different.

Scene 8 

No dialogue

Scene 9:

Derek: It was similar to my reality, but it wasn't my own. I was trapped in an alternate reality. 

Derek: I ran to my room, opened the drawer…

Derek: There it was, the crystal was sitting there, I reached for the crystal, to find myself in another reality

Scene 10

Derek: Now I travel across realities waiting to find the one that’s my own. I have to find the drawer without the crystal. But my memories are starting to give up on me…

Derek: I do this everyday,  and everyday I run the risk of running into an alternate version of myself. Now that, that would be bad.

Derek 2: Who the hell are you?

Shooting Script

Scene 1

The first scene only has non-diegetic sound and dark lighting on screen 

Scene 2

We get a high angle shot as we see Derek writing into his diary from above.

Non-diegetic sound: Gritty background music

Lighting: low key lighting, relatively dark

Scene 3

Derek starts baking and puts his birthday suit on the bed. There are cuts between Derek baking and the suit being it on the bed.

Locations: Kitchen and bedroom

Non-diegetic sound: eerie background music

Lighting: High key lighting, basically everything in the 

Scene 4:

The camera cuts to the bedroom door. 

The non-diegetic sound of knocking on the door occurs. 

There’s a close-up shot as Derek's mom hands him his fathers watch

Scene 5

Derek places the watch in his drawer, we see this through a high angle shot with high-key lighting, with some non-diegetic eerie music in the background 

Scene 6 

We then get a front facing view at he looks at the watch that is now out of the shot. He smiles while looking at it, and the eerie music becomes more prominent. 

Scene 7:

The eerie music from the previous scene comes to a sudden stop as Derek wakes up the next morning 

There is a high angle shot of the drawer once again as Derek sees that there is a crystal sitting in the watches place.

Non-diegetic sound: there’s screeching in the background

Scene 8

 The camera then cuts to a close-up of Derek's confused face, and then a code-up of his reaching towards the crystal. The scene the fades to white.

Scene 9: 

We get an over the shoulder shot of Derek in a hallway as he wakes up in this new reality. 

Derek looks at something off-screen, and we see a front-facing view of a calendar, in which we see that the current date is completely different from when his birthday is.

Lighting-low key lighting

We then a point-of-view shot of Derek running into his room, only to find the crystal in his drawer once again. 

There is then a close-up of the crystal from the other night still being in Derek's hand

Scene 10

We get a high-angle shot of Derek writing a few more words in his diary with low-key lighting. We the cut to a close-up o him adjusting his tie as he takes a deep breath.

Scene 11

Derek the opens the door to his apartment as we follow him with a tracking shot to his drawer. Exciting action-packed music plays as he sneaks his way in.

Scene 12

Derek goes in to open the drawer

We then get a shot of the crystal sitting in the drawer, and the camera tilt’s up as we Derek's disappointed expression. We cut to a shot of Derek falling to his knees in disappointment

Scene 13

Derek hears a voice behind him, the camera tilts up as Derek gets back up, and as he turns around we see an alternate reality version f Derek standing behind him with a bat in his hand. We get a close-up of Derek simply smiling, as he touches the crystal to escape, and the screen fades to white.
