Storyboard

I found the storyboard process to be very important because it gave me a visual representation of my film. Seeing as I’ve already created a sound and shooting script, the storyboard really adds to that. It creates an image that display the props, lighting, and overall cinematography that will be used in my film. Doing storyboards also allows me to plan out the placement of differnt characters, as well as the overall costume designs those characters will have. By doing this, I am also creating a first draft for my film. I’m creating a basics outline of what I might want on film. By drawing out my storyboards I can sit out ideas that I didn’t like and insert new scenes that interest me. Storyboarding also helps because it allows you to understand how to connect different scenes. As a writer you tend to have many different ideas overlapping in your head. With storyboards, you can earn how to transition all these scenes and ideas into each other in a coherent way.
