Genre Research: Action

For this PowerPoint I worked with another student from AICE Media Studies to create a PowerPoint that illustrates he basic elements of the action genre. Before being this project however I had to do my research to understand the genre. This lead to a lot browsing crooks the internet in order to get a good grasp of the  action genre. I also watched a lot of action scenes that I can see action on film, well, in action. This way I would get a basic understanding of how the scenes from this genre are made, and what the finished product should look like. Me and my partner would then make a basic draft of the elements we would include in our point point, and agreed that one of us would do one half of the PowerPoint, and the other person would do the other half. I the laid out the basic teems and images across the PowerPoint. By doing this I would get the basic layout of ho the PowerPoint would appear. I had to chose very specific images ahead of time, as I wanted the images to fit with the presentations visual style. I also ended up using a scene form the film Mission Impossible: Fallout. This was done so that I could portray an example of diegetic and non-diegetic sound. Once I had the basic structure of the PowerPoint in place I went ahead and began decorating. I chose one of the layouts already available on the software, an d made small tweaks to make the presentation more organized. I would then and transitions in between each slide. I feel that this made my presentation feel a bit more interesting. I think its very easy for Presentation to feel dull, so transitions added a bit more visual flare. I also changed the font and colors of the letters in the PowerPoint. This was done in an effort to make the information easy to read. I also made sure to use theright information in the presentation. Using to much unnecessary information i the PowerPoint would have made it seem overly-complicated, so I made sure to keep it simple.
